EXCURSIONS ON ELBA ISLANDS: BOAT TRIPS

Dollaro II is a 15 meters boat that can carry till 40 people and is furnished with a bar and toilette.

It makes trips for groups and private people from April to October along the south-easter coast of Elba Island, running alongside beaches and creeks around Calamita Mountain and Seagulls Coast, one of the wildest and uncontaminated areas, mostly reacheable only by sea.

Franco, the speaker on board will show you the natural beauty and the old machineries and the actractive structures, now abandoned, of the iron mine activity, which made Elba famous since antiquity.

Daily trips are made twice a day (not on Sunday afternoon), one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and each one takes 3 hour time.

There will be one stop during the navigation to taste a tipycal Elba wine, Moscato, offered by the captain.

The departure will be from Porto Azzurro harbour (ca. 15 minutes by car from our campsite) with the following stages: Naregno Bay, Iscoli Bay, Stagnone Bay, Ginepro Mine, Seagulls Coast, White Beaches, Remaiolo Beach, Punta Rossa, Calamita Mine, Gemini Islands, Innamorata - Morcone and Pareti Beaches, Barabarca with a stop of 30 minutes for bathing, back to Porto Azzurro.

Departure: morning 9.30, back 12.30; afternoon 15.30 back 18.30.

Snorkelling from the boats with the DIVELBA staff

Two or three mornings and afternoons a week the Divelba Diving staff organise trips to the rocks of La Triglia and Corbella: magnificent places in the open sea where you can observe not just the benthonic organisms growing on the sea bed but also many different species of fish.

In the water, there are one or two guides, depending on the number of participants, plus a watchman on board.
You will be given a pre-snorkeling briefing, and the divemaster biologist in the water will answer all your questions and give you any explanation you require; snacks and refreshments on your return. All this in comfortable wooden boats perfect even if you want to lie down and get some sun!

You can walk to the departure area for the excursions directly from the campsite, but on request there is a free return transport service.
